Product Rating

Assessment is making a decision on something the size of good or bad. The assessment is qualitative. While the product is something produced. So the product assessment is making a decision on something that is produced by the students and controlling the manufacturing process and utilize / use the material to produce something, work practices or aesthetic quality of anything they produce.

For example: an artistic work (drawing, painting, crafts), food, clothing, a distinguished product made of wood, metal, plastic, ceramic.

Product assessment will assess students' skills in:
• explore and develop ideas in designing
• Selecting appropriate materials
• Using the tools
• Demonstrate innovation and creativity
• Select forms and styles in art

Phase in products such as:
1. Preparation: Students can be assessed in its ability to plan, explore, develop ideas, and create product design
2. Production: Students can be assessed in its ability to choose and use materials, tools, and techniques
3. Reflection: Students can be assessed in terms of aesthetics, product excellence, functional, originality.

Design Assessment of Products among others:
Make a plan:
• Are you going to assess the stage of preparation, production, reflection
• How / where parts of relevance to the curriculum
• How do you specifically make the criteria
Making Records:
• Method of recording what will be used (brief notes, analytical, or holistic)
• Who will assess (the students themselves, peers, parents, or teachers)
• How assessment criteria
• What is the level frequency
Reporting:
• From the point of view / eviden what determines your child's ability level (using analytic, holistic, short notes, checklists)
• More emphasis where: the level of individual student progress or keterbandingannya with other students in her group
• Forms of reporting may include a description / description or graphically
Product assessment includes assessment of student ability to make the products of science, technology, and art.

Three stages of manufacture of products that can be assessed:
Preparation: assessing students' ability to plan, explore, develop ideas, and mendesaian product.
Making: assessing students' ability to select and use materials, tools, and techniques.
Assessment (Appraisal): assessing students' ability to make products according to their use and meet the criteria of beauty.

- Burn with a good cake

Criteria score
1. There is a model project pictures
2. Written material in the model
3. Specifications written material
4. Aesthetics
with B,C and K
B = picture proportionately, comprehensive written materials, materials specifications clearly
C = image proportionally less, written material is less complete, less obvious material specifications
K = image is not proportional, written material is incomplete, unclear material specification
