Personal Competence


Teachers as educators whose main duty of teaching, personality characteristics have great influence on the success of human resource development. A stable personality of the figure of a teacher will give a good example of students and society, so the teacher will appear as a highly inappropriate "digugu" (followed advice / words / commands) and "imitated" (in the example of the attitude and behavior).
Teacher's personality is the most important factor for the success of their students learning. (1) good knowledge of social mores or religion,
(2) knowledge about the culture and traditions,
(3) knowledge about the essence of democracy,
(4) knowledge of aesthetics,
(5) have an appreciation and social awareness,
(6) have the right attitude towards knowledge and work,
(7) devoted to human dignity.
While the competence of teachers in a more specific one is to be empathetic, open, dignified, responsible and able to assess personal self.
Johnson was quoted as saying Anwar (2004:63) suggested teachers' personal skills, including
1) the appearance of a positive attitude towards the whole job as a teacher, and to the overall situation of education and its elements,
2) understanding, appreciation and performance values that should be adopted by a teacher,
3) personality, values, attitudes displayed in an effort to make itself as a leader and role model for his students.
Arikunto (1993:239) suggested personal competence requires teachers to have a personality that is steady so that it becomes a source of inspiration for the subject students, and by siswa.Berdasarkan exemplary description above, the competence of the teacher's personality is reflected in the indicators

Personality Competence
Competence is the ability of personal personality that reflects the personality of a steady, stable, mature, wise, and authoritative, serve as an example for students, and morality. In detail, every element of personality can be translated into subkompetensi and essential indicators as follows.
1) Having a steady and stable personality. It has indicators Subkompetensi essential: to act in accordance with legal norms, act in accordance with social norms; proud as an educator, and has a consistency in acting in accordance with the norms
2) Have a mature personality. Subkompetensi has an essential indicator: displays independence in acting as an educator and has a work ethic as an educator.
3) Having a personality wise. Subkompetensi has an essential indicator: displays the action that is based on the benefits students, schools, and community and demonstrate openness in thinking and acting.
4) Having an authoritative personality. Subkompetensi has essential indicators: a behavior that has positive influence on learners and have a respected behavior.
5) It has a noble character and can serve as an example. It has indicators Subkompetensi essential: to act in accordance with religious norms (IMTAQ, honest, sincere, helpful), and have exemplified the behavior of students.
Adult teachers who will show independence in acting dam has a high work ethic. Meanwhile, a wise teacher will be able to see the benefits of learning for students, schools and communities, showed an open attitude in berfkir and acting. Authoritative meaning that teachers have a positive effect on attitudes and behaviors of students respected.
The most major of the teacher is a noble personality. It can be a role model and act in a manner religion (faith, and godly, honest, sincere and helpful and have the behaviors that can be emulated.
One cause of low morale / ahlak current generation is low
